We collect only what we need to provide our service:

• Email address — collected when you enter it to check credits or make a purchase. Used to track your document credits and send payment receipts.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. Stripe handles all payment data securely.
• Document content — the job details you enter to generate documents (business name, client name, scope of work, etc.). This is sent to Anthropic's API to generate your document and is not permanently stored by us.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To track your document credits
• To process your payment and deliver your document
• To send payment receipts (via Stripe)
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing emails. We do not share your information with third parties except as described below.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate TradePaperwork:

• Stripe — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — database for storing email addresses and credit counts. Data is stored securely on encrypted servers.
• Anthropic — AI service that generates your documents. Job details you enter are sent to Anthropic's API. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — website hosting. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your email address and credit balance for as long as you have credits or for up to 2 years of inactivity, after which it is deleted. Generated documents are not stored on our servers — they are delivered to you in your browser only.

5. Your Rights (PIPEDA — Canada)

As a Canadian resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

6. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use only essential session functionality to operate the website.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption, secure API key management, and row-level security on our database. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

8. Children's Privacy

TradePaperwork is intended for adults operating businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
